Cécile de Smet is tax law partner and co-heads the firm’s tax practice.
She advises companies, executives and multinational groups on all tax matters, including tax advisory and tax litigation.
With significant experience in corporate taxation gained within international and French law firms, she assists clients both upstream of transactions and in their dealings with tax authorities, particularly in the context of tax audits and disputes.
Cécile handles both corporate and personal tax issues and works closely with other practice groups to address the tax aspects of complex transactions.
She advises on research and innovation tax credits (CIR, CII) and specific tax regimes such as JEI and approval procedures.
Holding degrees in corporate tax and environmental law, she has developed a specific expertise in environmental taxation and CSR-related tax issues.
Cécile is also committed to pro bono work and was awarded the Paris Bar Pro Bono Award (Solo category).
She is a member of the French Institute of Tax Lawyers (IACF).
